In 2013 Riga started the introduction of the pupil’s e-cards, which combine the functions of both the pupil’s certificate and the e-ticket for transportation.

The electronic ticketing system in Riga city has been successfully working since March 1, 2009.
In 2011 we have implemented the food and shelter services registration system based on e-talons solutions for the Welfare Department of Riga City. The food distribution project brought significant savings for the Welfare Department (due to precise registration and reporting of supplied services) and convenience (e.g. paperless), and because the same card is used for transport and social services.
