Starting from 01.10.2013 – trains have been included into the transportation system as additional operator. Thanks to e-talons, passengers have a wider choice for public transportation in Riga and its neighbourhood.
Thanks to e-talons, passengers have a wider choice for public transportation in Riga and its neighbourhood.
If a person has a personalized e-talons and is entitled to fare discounts by Riga municipality, then he/she can ride the train with the same e-talons.
It's even more, if the person has loaded some money on its e-talons e-wallet, it is quick and safe to pay for a trip onboard the train in Riga but also for all distances in Latvia.
For personalized e-talons with Riga municipality discount it is possible to travel within Riga region.
With e-purse, it is possible to travel anywhere in Latvia on all Pasazieru Vilciens trains.
For Riga region, final stations are: Babīte, Baloži, Dārziņi, Jugla and Vecāķi. If the passenger wants to continue the journey further (outside the territory of Riga city) he/she needs to purchase a ticket from the conductor without any additional cost or receive a so-called "zero-Ticket".
As of 01-10-2014 these operations have been discontinued by decision of Pasazieru Vilciens.
